Country Artists Halfway to Hazard and John Berry to Perform for 2nd Annual Healing Hands Helping Heroes Benefit on November 10, 2016

unnamed-3Healing Hands Helping Heroes is set to kick-off Veteran’s Day for a second year on Thursday, November 10, 2016 at The Rosewall in Nashville, TN with ACM nominated country duo Halfway to Hazard and Grammy Award Winning / CMA and ACM nominated country artist John Berry to serve as special entertainment. The second annual event entitled Healing Hands Helping Heroes benefits REBOOT Combat Recovery and AORN Middle Tennessee Chapter.

This charity event is a unique night of music and entertainment that includes cocktails at 6:00 p.m., dinner buffet and program at 7:00 p.m. and special entertainment by country artists Halfway to Hazard and John Berry to follow at 8:00 p.m. to honor veterans and nurses in the community.

Halfway to Hazard is the country duo made up of Chad Warrix and David Tolliver. Both from musical families in Eastern Kentucky, the duo moved their act to Nashville and gained popularity in venues around the country. Best known for their single “Daisy,” they have opened for country royalty such as Tim McGraw, Faith Hill and Jason Aldean. In 2008, the duo earned an ACM nomination for Duo of the Year. John Berry rose to stardom on the country charts in the 1990’s with such mega hits as Your Love Amazes Me, Standing on the Edge of Goodbye and She’s Taken a Shine. During his star-making decade, Berry placed 20 singles on the country charts, six of which went Top Five. He has earned multiple Gold and Platinum records and has garnered a Grammy award as well as CMA and ACM nominations. With the funds raised from 2015, AORN was able to offer scholarships for the international meetings, certification opportunities and ongoing education. This year’s event proceeds will continue to benefit AORN Middle Tennessee Chapter and REBOOT Combat Recovery to further serve their communities.

Through AORN’s continued partnership with REBOOT, over 500 service members and their families will be assisted by receiving therapy with money generated from the Healing Hands Helping Heroes event.
